The standard mixing ratio for Talstar P is 0.5 fluid ounces (fl oz) per gallon of water for general pest maintenance and light infestations. For heavy infestations or faster knockdown, you can increase the rate to 1.0 fluid ounce per gallon of water.
For a 25-gallon tank sprayer, you will need 12.5 fluid ounces of Talstar P for a standard 0.5 fl oz/gallon mix, or 25 fluid ounces for a heavy 1.0 fl oz/gallon mix. Always agitate the tank well before and during spraying.
Once mixed with water, Talstar P solution should be used within 24 hours for best results. The mixture can begin to separate or lose effectiveness if left sitting for extended periods. Always mix only what you plan to use immediately.
Talstar P is safe for pets and children once the treated area has completely dried. However, you should keep them away from the area during application and until the spray has fully dried to avoid any potential irritation or accidental transfer.
