Exact age is calculated by finding the difference between your date of birth and the target date. The algorithm accounts for the varying number of days in each month and leap years to provide an accurate count of years, months, and days.
The day of the week is determined using standard calendar algorithms that map your specific birth date to the 7-day weekly cycle. It correctly accounts for leap year rules in the Gregorian calendar, ensuring historical dates are mapped accurately.
If you were born on February 29, you technically only have a calendar birthday every four years. For legal, administrative, and calendar purposes, most systems recognize March 1st (or February 28th) as your official birthday in non-leap years.
The zodiac sign is based on the tropical zodiac system used in Western astrology. It maps the sun’s position relative to constellations on your exact birth date. Note that if you were born on a “cusp” (the exact day the sign changes), your precise birth time and location are needed for 100% astrological accuracy.
To find the total seconds you have been alive, the calculator multiplies your total days lived by 86,400 (the number of seconds in a standard 24-hour day). For example, if you have lived 10,000 days, you have been alive for 864,000,000 seconds.
