📍 Input Variables
The earlier date you’re counting from, e.g. an event, milestone, or deadline.
Defaults to today. Change it to any future date to see a countdown instead.

Date Difference

Days elapsed or remaining between your two dates

How the Count Works

The calculator converts each date into a single day count, then finds the difference, so every month length and leap year is handled automatically.

🔢

Whole Days

The main result is the number of complete 24-hour days between your two dates, not counting the start date itself as a full day elapsed.

🗓️

Weeks, Months & Years

The total day count is also broken down into a more readable years, months, and days format, alongside the equivalent number of full weeks.

💼

Business Days

Weekends are excluded to give a working-day count, handy for delivery estimates, notice periods, and project timelines.

Days Since Calculator FAQ

Everything you need to know about calculating the number of days between two dates.

Subtract the earlier date from the later date. The calculator does this automatically by converting both dates to a day count and finding the difference, which correctly accounts for different month lengths and leap years.

By default the calculator counts whole days elapsed between the two dates, so the start date itself is not counted as a full day. If you need an inclusive count that adds one extra day, this is shown separately in the results.

Yes. The calculator works directly with calendar dates, so any 29 February falling between your two dates is automatically included in the day count without any manual adjustment.

Business days exclude Saturdays and Sundays. The calculator counts how many weekdays fall between your two dates, which is useful for estimating delivery times, project deadlines, or working notice periods. It does not account for public holidays.
