To calculate the mean average, add all the numbers in your data set together to find the sum, then divide that sum by the total count of numbers. For example, the average of 10, 20, and 30 is (10 + 20 + 30) / 3 = 20.
The range is the difference between the highest and lowest values in a data set. It is calculated by subtracting the minimum value from the maximum value, providing a quick measure of data spread or variability.
