Use a flexible measuring tape. Wrap it around your head, passing about 1 cm (or half an inch) above your eyebrows and ears, and around the widest part at the back of your head. Keep the tape snug but not tight, and note the measurement in centimetres.
If your measurement falls exactly between two sizes, it is generally recommended to round up to the larger size. A hat that is slightly too large can be adjusted with hat sizers or padding, whereas a hat that is too small will be uncomfortable and cause headaches.
