Taming Calculator 2026
Instantly estimate torpor, food, and narcotics needed for creature taming. Calculate taming time, effectiveness, and resources for knockout and passive taming methods.
Creature & Taming Parameters
Define creature stats and taming method
Wild creature level (1-500)
Torpor at level 1
Additional torpor gained per level
Knockout requires maintaining torpor; passive is safer but slower
Higher quality food = faster taming & better effectiveness
Server setting (1.0 = default speed)
Rate at which creature loses torpor
Higher effectiveness = bonus levels for tamed creature

Creature Taming FAQ

Total torpor needed equals the base torpor of the creature plus the torpor gained per level multiplied by the creature’s level. For example, a level 100 creature with 50 base torpor and 5 torpor per level needs 550 total torpor.
Knockout taming requires rendering the creature unconscious and maintaining its torpor while it eats. Passive taming involves feeding the creature while it’s awake without knocking it out, which is safer but slower and only works for certain species.
Each Narcotic provides 40 torpor instantly, while each Narcoberry provides 0.5 torpor over 4 seconds (totaling 2 torpor). Narcotics are more efficient but narcoberries can be harvested in bulk from bushes.
Taming effectiveness depends on how much the creature eats during the taming process. Higher-quality food (like kibble) tames faster, resulting in higher effectiveness. A 100% effectiveness gives bonus levels and better stats to the tamed creature.
Taming time varies based on creature level, food type, and taming speed. Higher-level creatures take longer, while premium foods like kibble reduce taming time significantly. Use a taming calculator to get precise estimates for your specific creature.
