Beatles Duration FAQ

Everything you need to know about how this calculator works and where the runtimes come from.

The Beatles’ 12 UK studio albums add up to roughly 8 to 9 hours of music in total, depending on the exact edition and mix used. That covers over 200 songs recorded between 1963 and 1970.

The Beatles, commonly known as the White Album, is by far the longest at around 93 minutes, since it was released as a double album with 30 tracks. Abbey Road is the longest of their single-disc albums, at around 47 minutes.

A Hard Day’s Night is generally the shortest of their studio albums, running around 30 minutes. Like most albums from the early 1960s, it was designed to fit comfortably on a single vinyl LP.

The calculator adds together the total runtime of each album you select, then multiplies that by how many full listens you choose. If you enter a daily listening time, it also estimates how many days it would take to get through your selection at that pace.

No, this calculator only covers the 12 core UK studio albums. Compilations like Past Masters, the Anthology series, and BBC session recordings are not included, so your real listening time will be longer if you count those too.
