The Congestion Charge operates from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on weekends and Bank Holidays. There is no charge on Christmas Day (25 December).
The standard daily charge is £15.00 if paid in advance or on the day of travel. If you pay by midnight of the third day after travel, a late fee of £17.50 applies.
Yes. Motorcycles, mopeds, and vehicles in the ‘Disabled’ tax class are fully exempt. Electric vehicle exemptions are being phased out, so drivers should verify their specific vehicle status on the official TfL website.
If you fail to pay by midnight on the third day after travel, you will receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN). The PCN is £180, but it is reduced to £90 if paid within 14 days.
